Older homes are often tailored to trends and lifestyles of yesterday. The common areas of this quaint 3 bedroom/2 bath house were divided into three separate rooms making it tough for large crowds to gather into a single space for holidays and get-togethers. This challenge was solved by removing all of the interior walls, combining the kitchen, dining room, and living room into a single space. Major structural work allowed for tray and coffered ceilings, creating a sense of definition over each open area. Top it off with a bistro table as a landing spot for an impromptu bottle of wine and it is clear that this space was remodeled to entertain!
